“Dancing With the Stars” Season 35 has already had a heartbreaking elimination, and it’s only the third week of competition. During the September 29, 2026, Yacht Rock night, Taylor Hanson and his partner Britt Stewart scored an 18 out of 30 for their Foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes.” The couple did not have the lowest scores; those went to Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson, and Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess. But that didn’t seem to matter as Taylor and Britt were eliminated from the competition.

Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart Appeared Stunned by the Votes
Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart not only danced well, but they were well liked. They certainly didn’t expect to be eliminated in the third week, but as we know, “DWTS” always has a shocker or two. Following his wife’s surprise exit from the competition, Daniel Durant posted a sweet message of encouragement for Taylor and Britt in his Instagram stories.
“I’m so proud of Britt. I feel so lucky to witness behind the scenes just how incredibly hard she works. She has so much passion, and she was so excited to be partnered with Taylor. It’s been so much fun watching them grow, learn from each other, and give everything they have to this journey on DWTS. They truly gave it their absolute best,” Daniel wrote.
Even though Taylor and Britt were eliminated, Daniel knows she has a huge future ahead.
“Of course, it’s heartbreaking to see what happened tonight. But Britt is Britt Stewart—one of the sweetest people I know. She always makes sure everyone around her is okay, she works incredibly hard, she inspires her community, and she is an AMAZING dancer,” the proud husband wrote.
Fans agreed and flooded Taylor and Britt’s socials with support.
“Britt, you are so much more than DWTS. They do not deserve you! Taylor was improving and showed dedication. You guys were robbed! So tired of this every season!” A fan wrote.
