Almost everyone knows the famous James Brown song “I Got You (I Feel Good).” Brown’s iconic screaming, raspy voice has a timbre that makes the song even better. The song has recently been used in social media jump scares because of the James Brown scream. But that is not why we’re here. Today, we have to show you an adorable boy on the circuit doing a cover version of “Brown’s classic”I Feel Good.” A young South African boy named Desi performed the classic for the talent show at his school.

Desi’s mom, Adele Koolen, posted her son’s performance of “I Feel Good” on Instagram. It even drew the attention of Wayne Brady (yes, THAT Wayne Brady). Mr. Brady said, “He just made my whole day!” Talk about a proud Mama moment!

But there is a twist we haven’t told you yet! Desi is only six years old! It took some courage for him to get up on the stage and sing this powerful song. When he begins, you can tell he is nervous (I know I would be!). He starts slowly, moving to the beat of the music and hitting the words of the feel-good song hesitantly. After the first verse, he begins building his confidence. By the time he hits the second verse (I feel nice), he is ready to rock it out!

This kid belts out the entire feel-good song like a pro once he gets rolling. I cannot even imagine how proud his mom was during the performance. Now his video is going viral! This little boy belted “I Feel Good” like a pro at his talent show, and it’ll make your day! This is your ticket to a smile if you need a pick-me-up. You can also share it with your friends!
