Ten years have passed since the viral “apparently kid” went on national television and did an adorable job reporting at the Wayne County Fair. Ten years ago, Noah Ritter visited the fair with his grandfather to enjoy food and animals. However, the local news channel WNEP saw him and decided to make his day even more interesting by interviewing him. During that interview, Noah became known as the “apparently kid” because of his love and overuse of the word. See the original video here.

“Apparently Kid” Ten Years Later
The “apparently kid,” is all grown up today. The now 15-year-old has been visiting the Wayne County Fair with his grandfather, Jack every year over the past decade. And he often goes to the same spot where he went viral.
When WNEP caught up with Noah this year and asked him how it felt to be back. Noah replied, “Feels pretty good. I feel nostalgic about it.” He also hugged his grandfather on live television and said, “I wouldn’t trade my buddy for the world.”
Buddy is a good term for this dynamic duo, as Noah’s grandfather has been with him throughout his life, starting by being an integral part of his upbringing and joining him in every twist and turn of his viral fame.
Family Connections To The Fair
It turns out that the “apparently kid” apparently has some family connections to the fair. Grandpa Jack’s late wife used to work as a waitress at the Hawley Diner. That diner proudly serves meals at the Wayne County Fair every year. Furthermore, when Grandpa Jack was a child, he showed cattle at the fair.
Wanting to continue the family tradition, Noah’s grandfather thought it would be nice to bring his grandson along to the fair as well. Little did he know that this would lead to Noah becoming an internet sensation.
From his viral interview, Noah met many Hollywood stars, including Ellen Degeneres, Chris Pratt, Bill Clinton, Sofia Vergara, Jim Carey, Ariana Grande, and more. He was a guest on many talk shows and even got to be a judge on the show Toy Box.
While he may no longer be the tiny “apparently kid,” Noah is still sharing his life online. He has created a YouTube channel where he shares his adventures with his grandfather. Noah likes to keep busy, and he told the WNEP reporter, “Now I am juggling YouTube, school, football, track, and a bunch of other stuff. Going into my sophomore year, I am getting ready to drive.”
He’ll Never Outlive His Viral Fame
Although Noah may be older, he will never outlive his viral moment at the Wayne County Fair. They have a photographed memory of the viral moment at the fair, and the internet still loves to reminisce about his adorable interview.
Noah said he plans on continuing to visit the fair, so it appears that his family’s legacy and connection with it will continue. Perhaps WNEP will visit again in another few years, and we can see all the great things Noah has been up to then.
