The Royal Family Shares New Portrait Of Prince George For 12th Birthday

Prince George Portrait

July 22 marked a big day for the royal family. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George, turned 12. True to the family’s annual tradition, William and Kate shared a new portrait of George as he embarks on his final year as a tween. The photograph, taken by Josh Shinner, features a smiling George in an outdoor setting wearing a button-down shirt and vest. The portrait reflects his parents’ more modern style, as well as a nod to his mother’s love of nature and the outdoors. There’s no denying that George is William’s boy, as the father and son share an uncanny resemblance and an identical charming smile.

Prince George Will One Day Be King

William is the direct heir to the British throne, and his son, George, is next in line. It’s a lot to put on the shoulders of a young boy, but George appears to have the same love of his country and tradition as his father and grandfather. As the eldest child of three, Prince George often sets the example for his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And while his younger brother tends to be a bit more mischievous, George knows just how to get him back in line.

Royal enthusiasts took the time to send well wishes to Prince George on his big day.

“Happy 12th Birthday Prince George, hope you have the best day,” a message reads.

“Happy birthday young man,” another person wrote.

This fan remarked on how quickly time passes. “Where did those 12 years go! Wishing Prince George a very happy birthday full of family fun,” they wrote.

“Wow, I can’t believe he is almost a teenager.. happy birthday,” another person agreed.

“Happy birthday Future King,” another person shared.

“Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George! It feels like he was born yesterday,” a fan shared.
