Emma Watson IS the ideal woman. She’s smart and thoughtful, graduated from Brown University this past May and in July, she was chosen to be a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.
She’s visited Bangladesh and Zambia to observe the harsh conditions inhabitants encounter everyday, and is putting every effort into coming up with possible solutions for these specific issues.
It seems that Watson’s been taking notes from her former brilliant and brave character, Hermione Granger, as she’s just helped launch the UN Women campaign, HeForShe, to promote gender equality. Men and women alike admire Watson for her strength of character and willingness to speak up for what she believes in. She recently gave a speech at the New York City UN headquarters that was so well-received she got a standing ovation…and the video has since gone viral. You can watch the speech here.
