We’ve practically grown up with the cast of Harry Potter films — memorizing spells, dreaming of quidditch, and other muggle activities. But, while we may feel like we know Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the cast (because we’ve spent the last decade with them), what they’re doing off screen is something of note. So many of the actors involved in the franchise are doing and have done some really inspiring stuff off the silver screen, and we’ve collected some of their coolest moments in real life.

1. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)

Dan is definitely the man. While visiting Ireland in 2012, he somehow ended up celebrating a huge sports win with players from the Dublin Minor Football Team. Unfortunately, Radcliffe didn’t have any cash for the ride home. So, the athletes took care of it.
Fast forward to September 2014. We found out Radcliffe, being the fantastic individual that he is, paid back his cab fare to the kind Irishmen with some cash and a note that read: “Hi guys, So, Thanks again for paying for my cab! I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t honour my word and pay you back. Once again great meeting you all. Hope this covers it!” Wow. Just, wow. ‘Nuff said.
