Teen Leaps Into Action To Prevent Runaway Bus Disaster.

A teen girl receives a certificate of appreciation for stopping a runaway bus.

At least 20 students owe their lives to a brave teen girl who stopped a runaway bus from crashing into a gas station. 14-year-old Izzy Miller was aboard the large vehicle in New South Wales, Australia, when it started moving toward the North Casino Mini Mart. According to The Guardian, no one was driving it! Thinking fast, the teenager rushed to the driver’s seat and started steering. Thanks to her, the bus managed to avoid colliding with the gas station — a catastrophe which could have proven fatal!

Footage of Izzy’s heroic feat was caught on camera, and it shows the vehicle swerving away from the mini mart before the girl finally brings the runaway bus to a stop. The teen has received a Certificate of Appreciation recognizing her “outstanding courage and quick thinking.”
