Let them outside for a snow day, and many domestic animals like huskies and malamutes – especially this Australian shepherd – will milk it for all it’s worth. But a couple of New Jersey horses wanted absolutely nothing to do with it, as shown in a video that’s now gone viral.
“Let horses out to play in the snow. Horses have other ideas,” Howell, New Jersey resident Jodie Palella captioned the short clip, which was published on January 5 and already has more than half a million views.
The title, “Synchronized Snow Sissys,” is pretty self-explanatory.
Jodie opens the barn door to let her two blanketed horses out to stretch their legs because, presumably, they’ve been cooped up for a while. They slowly make their way out of the barn – and suddenly find themselves tromping out into a mild snow flurry.
“Uh, yeah. We’re good in the barn. Thanks anyway.”
Beneath a photo on Jodie’s Facebook page, showing the two “sissies” dashing inside, away from the snow, one of her friends noted they’re “the famous horses of NJ making the NEWS.”
“It would be nice if it was for winning some big event rather than being the biggest global wimps…but we’ll take what we can get,” Jodie replied.
We have to admit, we’re with the horses on this one!
