Sweet Surprise: Man Discovers The Owner Of His Favorite Bakery Is Actually His Biological Mother

If you ask this Chicago man to name his favorite bakery, he’ll probably tell you that his mother sells the best sweet treats in the entire city. Vamarr Hunter has been frequenting her shop, Give Me Some Sugah, for the past ten years. However, when he first discovered the place, he had no idea he was related to the owner. All he knew was that Lenore made some of the most delicious pastries he’d ever eaten!

In an astounding post on social media, NBC Chicago shared the story of how Vamarr discovered the truth about his parents. Apparently, this man had been questioning his past for a long time. At 35, he finally found out that he was adopted. A genealogist was able to locate his biological mom, but Vamarr had to wait for the woman to reach out to him. While he was hoping to hear from his mother, he received an unexpected call from his favorite bakery. You can watch the video here.

At first, Vamarr was confused. However, when he realized why Lenore was calling, he was overcome with emotion. Meanwhile, the bakery owner was brought to tears when she found out that one of her best customers was also her son. She was only 17 years old when she decided to give her baby up for adoption, hoping that he’d have a chance at a better life. However, she wanted him to be able to find her if he ever wanted to. So, she went with an open adoption plan.

Now that Vamarr has been reunited with his biological mom, he couldn’t be happier. He’s even taken over some of his mother’s responsibilities at his preferred bakery since she’s partially retired.

“I love my mom,” the man told NBC 5 Chicago. “I love having a mother.”
