Ask anyone for a photo of their pet and they’re sure to pull up about a million options. But can you really blame them? One of the many perks of having a pet is getting to take some of the most adorable, silly photos you could possibly imagine. So, when someone on social media invited pet parents to share the most ridiculous photos of their cats, they did not disappoint.

“Please show me the most ridiculous photo of your cat,” the popular post reads. “I don’t mean ‘tongue sticking out.’ I mean totally UNHINGED.”
Thousands of responses poured in, and they just keep coming. While they’re all fantastic, I’m here to share some of the very best. Starting off strong, there’s the black cat in the image above. According to his owner, Kaitlyn Lee, he actually can be one of the most elegant looking felines. At this moment, however, he looks a bit like Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
No, that’s not a tornado. That’s just an orange cat caught mid-sneeze! Seriously though, it’s amazing that Brenna was able to capture this exact moment.
“I like how you can just barely make out his perplexation through the vortex,” someone else in the comments points out.
Like human toddlers, it seems as though our cats pick up on our habits. I’d like to imagine that’s what inspired this orange cat to sit in such a human-like way. He’s certainly not the only cat who does this! Lots of other cat owners attest to finding their own feline friends in similar positions.

Finally, there’s my personal favorite…
It’s not clear exactly what Soot the cat is doing in this photo. But as others have pointed out, one thing is clear: He looks less like a cat and more like “an entity,” a shapeshifter, or even a cryptid. In any case, he’s very much adorable.
