This recent video gives us a front row seat in a dramatic rescue – while making us extremely grateful for the kindness of strangers! In a short clip, we see an elderly woman clinging to a chain link fence as dirty brown floodwater rises all around her.
It appears that she had been attempting to evacuate when she got trapped, and there was no one around to help her as powerful currents tugged at her frail body. But then a stranger arrives and begins to wade toward her. Sensing she is too fatigued to walk, he gently picks her up and carries her to safety!
