Yesterday, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens competed in the AFC Championship for a spot in the Super Bowl. But before the Chiefs went on to win, musical performances wowed the excited crowd. One of the most memorable came from the Morgan State University Choir, who delivered a stunning rendition of the national anthem. With the game taking place right in Baltimore, this local act couldn’t have been a more fitting choice.
Although they’re local to Maryland, the Morgan State University Choir performs, quite literally, all around the world. According to their website, they’re one of the nation’s most prestigious university choral ensembles and have performed on every continent except Antarctica!

They’re known for covering a wide range of musical styles, including classical, gospel, and contemporary pop. It’s no wonder, then, that their take on the national anthem caused so many people in the stadium to cheer.
No matter which team folks were rooting for, everyone could agree on one thing: the Morgan State University Choir nailed their performance. In doing so, they set the perfect mood for such an important game.

Naturally, the MSU Choir rooted for the Ravens, making this loss a heavy blow. Still, it’s clear they had a blast. They even shared a video from after the game where they took a moment for a hilarious interaction with the Raven’s mascot!
