Single Mom Dresses Up As A Man, Crashes ‘Donuts For Dads’ So Her Son Wouldn’t Be Left Out.

When I was in Elementary School, there were two special days out of the year that I looked forward to as much as any national holiday: “Moms and Muffins” day and “Dads and Donuts” day. The special days were hosted by my school; one was for moms to come eat muffins with their kids before classes began and the other was the same, but for dads and with donuts.

As a kid, it was the greatest excuse to spend time with a parent… Plus I got to eat sugary food for breakfast and delay the start of the school day for as long as possible! I loved it. But it never occurred to me that these days might have felt a little different for my classmates who had only one parent.

When a single mom named Yevette found out her son’s school was having a “Donuts with Dad” celebration, she was not about to let her son miss out. So Yevette threw on a baseball cap and button down to “play dad” for the morning. She even completed the look with a fake mustache and a dash of cologne.

Yevette posted photos from the “Donuts with Dad” celebration along with the following caption:

Good morning, today at my son Elijah’s skewl as I was dropping him off i ask him why there was so many cars… He said Donuts with Dad, so we quickly went back home cause I wasn’t about to let him miss out….. I know seeing other dads with there kids isn’t easy for mine but its life, at least I can do whatever it takes to put a smile on that face, so here it goes….. and please don’t hate I know I’m a woman an so do my sons lol #ilovehim #wegettingthemdonuts #noexcuses

I love how this mama didn’t mind embarrassing herself just a little in order to “do whatever it takes to put a smile on that face.”

She wasn’t about to feel awkward or upset; instead, she made a memory with her boy that he will treasure forever.

Elijah looks so proud to stand next to his mom (or “Dad” if anyone offering donuts asks!).

Share this awesome mama’s hilarious and touching act today.
