Mom Nervous For Daughter’s 1st Meeting With Great Nana — Captures Sweetest Moment.

Eight-year-old Sophie is a lucky little girl. Her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents are alive.

She has wonderful relationships with all of them, but one is particularly special. When her mom and grandmother wanted to introduce her to her great-grandmother, who unfortunately suffers from dementia, they weren’t sure how she would react. After all, some adults don’t quite know how to cope with the debilitating disease.

But when they brought her to her great-grandma’s bedside, the most incredible thing happened.

Sophie softly began to sing. Her grandmother wrote that “You Are My Sunshine,” is a “special song to her great nana,” so it meant a lot to her that the little girl chose it.

Ever since they shared the tender moment over two years ago, Sophie has returned frequently to share other things with her great-grandmother.

Needless to say, their relationship is incredibly unique and absolutely beautiful.

Yvonne Miller, Sophie’s grandmother, says that her mom gets a ton of enjoyment out of Sophie’s visits.

We’re sure that Sophie will remember her great-grandmother long after she’s gone, and it’s clear that her great nana adores Sophie’s visits, smiling and hanging onto every word the little girl says or sings.
