Fulton Lee loves to take his music to the streets. Sometimes he’ll freestyle with a stranger but, on this particular day, he hoped to make a difference in someone’s life in an especially meaningful way. While standing near a road, the singer held up a large sign. Near him was a stool. The sign read, “Sit here if you feel like giving up.”
When one man got close enough to read it, he didn’t hesitate to sit down. Just like that, Fulton’s plan was set into motion. He grabbed his guitar and brought over a mic stand. The powerful lyrics of his song, “Close To The Edge,” touched the stranger who wiped away the tears from his eyes.
“Maybe your dreams have been broken,” Fulton sang. “Or maybe you never believed that someone like you could have dreams that come true. But that ain’t the way it’s got to be.”
Based on the way this stranger couldn’t stop thanking Fulton for his kindness, it seems that he couldn’t have heard these words at a better time. What a powerful way to encourage others to keep going and to remind them that they are not alone.
