Reba McEntire’s Son Breaks Silence On Brother Brandon Blackstock’s Death

While Brandon Blackstock was well known as the ex-husband of Kelly Clarkson, some may not realize his connection to country music legend Reba McEntire. Reba was married to Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, and the pair had one son, Shelby Blackstock. Even though they divorced, the McEntire and Blackstock families remained close. Shelby Blackstock took to Instagram to share a message of love for his half-brother, Brandon Blackstock, following his death from cancer.

“Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured. Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son,” Shelby wrote. “Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family—funny, bright, and full of life—and he will be deeply missed.”

Shelby Blackstock and Brandon Blackstock smiled in photos and looked so happy to be together.

“Every hunt, every flight, and in the everyday moments of life, I’ll feel your presence,” Shelby wrote.

Shelby will miss his brother terribly, but knows he’ll always watch over him. “And although it may annoy you, you’ll have to watch me do it all just a little better, a little smoother, and —let’s be honest— looking far more handsome than you ever could in the process,” he joked.

Shelby ended his posting, telling his brother he will always miss him and love him.

Friends and loved ones shared condolences with Shelby Blackstock following Brandon Blackstock’s death.

“Shelby- so sorry for your incredible loss. Words I know can’t express enough solace. Praying for the entire family. Love ya man. BG,” a friend wrote.”

“I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sending many prayers for you, your family and much love for strength and comfort,” another person shared.
