We’re used to seeing service dogs take care of their owners, but who do they turn to when they want help with something? One very good boy named Tobias found out that he could lean on his pet parent for support in times of need! A social media user shared the sweetest video of their pooch asking for help at their workplace. He was so polite about it that we’re literally tearing up!

This conscientious service dog remained completely quiet and still until his human acknowledged him. When his owner finally asked him to “show me,” Tobias scampered off to do just that. The dog parent followed the pooch until he stopped at a particular shelving unit. There, the animal pointed out the problem. His ball was stuck!
It took a little bit of maneuvering, but the service dog’s owner was eventually able to get the toy free. Then, they tossed it back to the very excited pooch, who scampered away with the important item. Tobias’s human was very impressed that the animal had reached out for help!
“He’s such a clever dog, he’s taught himself to get help when he can’t do something himself,” they wrote in the caption of their video.
Social media users loved the hilarious clip, which has received over seven million views.
“You’re such a good service human,” one person joked.
“You know he tried so hard to get it himself before he pleaded for help,” said another.
There’s a reason this service dog is allowed to have toys at work.
Some commenters didn’t believe that Tobias was really a service dog. They claimed that, if he were, he wouldn’t be allowed to play with toys at work. However, in another video, the pooch’s owner demonstrated that this good boy knows the difference between business and pleasure!
In the clip, the pet parent tossed a ball in their workplace. Tobias happily ran after it, catching it in his mouth. As soon as his owner said, “All done,” though, the service dog immediately dropped the ball. Then, he came running over as soon as he was called. It looks like this pooch can be trusted with toys at work after all.
