Serena Williams is a busy mom of two, but at her core, she’s a tennis phenom. The 44-year-old famously said she was “evolving away from tennis” after her final match at the 2022 US Open. She didn’t use the word retire, leaving her tennis career’s future open. The strategy was smart. Sources claim Serena Williams is ready to return to tennis for the Queen’s Club Championships in London. According to US Weekly, Serena reportedly asked for a wild card into the doubles draw for the upcoming tournament.

One of Serena Williams’ Good Friends Gave Fuel to Rumors of Her Return
During an episode of the Served with Andy Roddick podcast, Andy discussed the potential of Serena’s return with a guest who believes it’s a good move for everyone. Serena getting back on the court could show, once again, that moms can do just about anything they set their minds to, including pursuing a sports career.
Fans learning about Serena Williams’ potential return to tennis became very excited.
“IfSerena Williams really comes back to tennis, the entire sport is going to feel electric again. Nobody brought power, pressure, glamour, and star power to a court like Serena. And yes, I will absolutely become annoying online if this happens,” the Notorious JTB shared on X.
Some think Serena’s grasping for attention, but true fans disagree.
“Serena williams doesn’t need attention. Even in retirement she has been in news. It’s just passion for competition. Unfair to call it attention,” a fan wrote.
Serena posted a reel on Instagram May 19 that reads, “Rumor has it……. I got a new trainer.” The video shows Serena on the court with her kids having a little fun. Was that a hit? Only time will tell.
