Selfless Trick Or Treaters Do The Sweetest Thing When They Read This Sign.

Even though kids say “trick or treat” on Halloween, I feel like not much emphasis is placed on the the “trick” part. This may have been Ashleigh and her husband’s thought process when they decided to add a playful sign next to the bowl of candy they placed outside their home. It read, “Take all you want, just not Starbursts. My wife loves them.” The joke here is that, in reality, they never put a single Starburst in the bowl, making it look as though they had already been taken.

It seems that most trick-or-treaters didn’t think too much of the sign, but that wasn’t the case for the two who were captured on the couple’s Ring camera in the video below. As soon as they read the sign, both of them had the same thought: I wonder if I have any Starbursts to share?

And so the two of them rummaged through their candy and, instead of just taking from the bowl, they placed some of their own candy inside.

“I don’t know who your parents are, but they deserve to know how sweet you two boys are,” Ashleigh shared.

Watch these kind trick-or-treaters give away their Starbursts in the heartwarming video below.

@ring "My husband put a sign out that read, 'take all you want, just not the Starbursts. My wife loves them.' These two boys took it seriously and took candy out of their own Halloween bags and left it for me! I don’t know who your parents are, but they deserve to know how sweet you two boys are," explains Ashleigh. 🎃👻 Happy almost Halloween! #ringdoorbell #halloween #kindness ♬ original sound – Ring
