Anyone can learn to dance with time and practice, but some people are born with true talent that they just can’t contain.
Oscar Donnelly of New Stevenston, Scotland, is one of those kids whose talent shines so brightly, he seems destined to become a superstar. Oscar’s been Irish dancing since he was just three years old, and now that he’s six he’s won countless competitions and taken home numerous trophies for his serious skills. In the United Kingdom, he’s even known as “Wee Mick”after Irish dancing legend Michael Flatley.

His mother, Annie Walters, explained, “Some people are born to dance and he is one of them.”
When Oscar appeared on an episode of “Little Big Shots,” his incredible dancing skills weren’t the only thing on full display, though; his bubbly personality also won the hearts of all who watched.

Even host Steve Harvey seemed taken by the boy, who was completely unbothered by sitting on the couch alongside a celebrity, in front of an audience full of people, and on national television!
“Because he’s so young, he doesn’t quite realize what he has achieved – he takes everything in his stride,” Annie said. “Nothing ever fazes him.â€

Oscar’s adorable Scottish accent threw Steve for a loop, but once you figure out that certain vowels are just pronounced differently, it’s easy to understand his sweet brogue. “Fish” is pronounced “fesh,” for instance, and Oscar is quick to correct Steve when he doesn’t get it quite right.
With Oscar’s help, Steve even learned a few new Scottish phrases!

When it finally comes time for Oscar to take the stage, he effortlessly jumps into the energetic, beautiful Irish step dancing that’s always come naturally for him.

“He dances 24/7,” Annie said. “Whenever we head to the supermarket, he’s out in front of me dancing down the aisles. We took him to football lessons but he hated them and told us all he wanted to do was dance.”

His love for dancing is infectious, and with his sassy demeanor, we’re sure we haven’t seen the last of this talented little boy.
