Irish dancing isn’t exactly the most popular form of dance in the United States, but when you see what this troupe can do, you might just be inspired to take it up yourself! Because honestly, they’re that good.
The Fusion Fighters started in 2013 when they saw a need for a more progressive form of the traditional dance. While Irish dancing has always been known for its seriously fast footwork, the group takes that concept and modernizes it.
You can see just what we’re talking about at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Dublin earlier this year.
The video below shows a crowd of admirers forming a circle around the dancers. The performers all take turns showcasing their unique skills, and the entire thing is done without any music!
After all, their footwork alone provides enough of a beat to follow.
It’s astounding to watch how effortlessly the dancers maintain perfect synchronization. And it’s impeccably clear that they’re all having fun doing it — with smiles on their faces and laughs along the way.
Veteran Irish dancer Chris Naish founded the Fusion Fighters, and the group has gained a faithful following in the four years since its inception.
