Shannen and Sarah shared a friendship that lasted decades. Though the pair never worked together, they both had busy careers in the 1990s and 2000s and bonded during those challenging years. When Shannen Doherty passed away in 2024, her death left Sarah Michelle Gellar heartbroken. Two years later, she still misses her terribly.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Posted About Shannen Doherty on the Anniversary of Her Passing

On July 13, 2026, Sarah Michelle Gellar posted a photo of herself with Shannen Doherty and stylist Deborah Waknin-Harwin. Deborah passed away in 2020, so Sarah added a sweet caption to the photo. “@theshando something tells me this is you and @debwakninstylist today,” she wrote.

Fans immediately shared love with Sarah Michelle, realizing that today is a really tough day for her and all those who loved Shannen.

“I miss our girl so much @sarahmgellar. Thank you for introducing her to me. I miss her every day,” someone wrote.

Others sent words of encouragement.

“Sarah i am Sending you all my Love and Hugs today thinking of you,beautiful ladies beautiful pictures of all three of you,” another comment reads.
