Every once in a while, a commercial comes along that makes you smile and tear up a little bit.
A recent ad by Santander Bank feels like more than just a one minute commercial; it feels like a mini-movie. The spot is centered around a cute little piglet character who seems like he stepped right out of a Pixar film. The pig is part piggy bank, part beloved pet to a sweet little girl. He’s also 100% adorable.
The only problem is, the little guy is lost in the big city! His owners put up signs to try to find him, but things look pretty bleak. The little girl who lost him is heartbroken.

When some troublesome teens find him and start shaking him (he is a piggy bank, after all), it seems like things couldn’t get any worse for our piglet hero. The teens drop him onto the sidewalk, and it seems like this could be the end….

Luckily, a Santander banker is nearby, sees the situation, and runs out to rescue the piglet. There’s the brand metaphor, in case you missed it; Santander will repair your broken financial past and get your money back to you, where it belongs.
This banker is the real MVP (most valuable player), for sure!
