Pizza Hut Comforts Woman After Cruel “High School-Style” Breakup.

When it comes to mending a broken heart, there’s one thing that always works: junk food.

Whether it’s drowning your sorrows in a pint of Ben & Jerry’s or devouring an entire bag of salt and vinegar chips, there’s a reason they call it “comfort” food. When Australian author and humorist Rosie Waterland shared on Twitter that she was dumped in one of the most immature manners, the heartbroken woman was looking for comfort among her nearly 20,000 fans. But she ended up getting something much more interesting… and delicious.

“Hello I’m 31 and just got dumped via messenger and simultaneously blocked across all platforms so I couldn’t respond, high school-style,” she wrote.

After sharing the cold-hearted breakup method, Rosie went on to vent about how she was getting her lash extensions refilled, so she couldn’t even have a good cry after being cut loose.

Even though she said, “don’t @ me,” people definitely replied. Most had soothing words of comfort for the jilted Rosie, but then something truly special happened.

Pizza Hut Australia saw Julie’s tweet and decided to see if there was anything they could do to make her feel better.

“It’s ok @RosieWaterland, pizza will always be there for you,” the restaurant representative tweeted the slighted woman. “Thick and thin, in crust we trust. Can you DM us so we can send you a little something?”

The promise of free pizza would cheer up just about anyone! Rosie quickly sent the brand a direct message and went on to boast about her new lover, “PIZZA IS MY PARTNER NOW.”

Rosie was thrilled not just at the prospect of free food, but also by the support she received during a trying time. She later tweeted that she was open to accepting “any and all” free stuff, so keep the condolences coming!
