“In 1995, Dolly Parton launched an exciting new effort, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, to benefit the children of her home county in East Tennessee, USA. Dolly’s vision was to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families,” per the website. Dolly wanted children to be excited about books and to feel the magic that books can create. Moreover, she could ensure that every child would have books, regardless of their family’s income.”

Fans Want to Ensure Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Remains

Many have contributed to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library since her death to help fund the incredible program. The Ugly Bagel Company brought back a fan-favorite treat in honor of the superstar.

“In loving memory of the one and only Dolly. The Dolly Bagel is back for a limited time only, and this time, it’s for a cause close to our hearts. Proceeds from each Dolly Bagel sold will be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library,” the restaurant announced. “Available to purchase starting today 08/28 through 09/04.”

The Dolly is a pink, sparkly bagel filled with banana pudding schmear and topped with crunchy vanilla wafers.

Customers loved the idea of supporting literacy.

“Ugh I wish I lived here cause I would get one everyday while you have it,” someone wrote.

This person lauded The Ugly Bagel for the great idea. “Fair play more businesses should take note instead of profiteering.”
