Red Lobster CEO Finally Gives Answers About Endless Shrimp Deal

Red Lobster Endless Shrimp

Red Lobster is back and better than ever. After filing for bankruptcy in 2024, some worried it would be the end of their favorite seafood place. Instead, Red Lobster’s CEO Damola Adamolekun has helped save the chain. And while Cheddar Bay Biscuits abound, some have wondered about the fate of Red Lobster’s endless shrimp promotion. It was a great deal for customers, but sadly, it wrecked Red Lobster. Damola shared thoughts on the company’s future in an interview with Good Morning America.

“We want to be exciting, relevant and compelling for our guests — and one of the ways you do that is through menu innovations,” he said. “People are having fun as an experience, which is an important differentiator to get people back into the restaurants.”

Damola Adamolekun Also Talked About The Future Of Endless Shrimp At Red Lobster

Friends, we have bad news. There will not be any endless shrimp at Red Lobster anytime soon.

“We don’t have any plans to bring it back,” Damola said. “We listen intently to customer comments and try to react really quickly to deliver people what they want.”

He added that when people comment on social media, Red Lobster listens.

“There was a group of people saying, ‘We want more heat, more spice, more flavor options.’ And within a week, we turned it around and added a spicy option, an extra spicy option, a new flavor, Old Bay and Parmesan, and Cajun sausage. And we did that within a week,” Damola said.

“So we’re listening, we’re reading the comments,” he reiterated. “My CMO says, ‘Keep commenting, and we’ll keep cracking.'”

Endless Shrimp may be over at Red Lobster, but the future looks bright for the company. Fans continually engage on social media and Red Lobster listens and responds. What a great way to do business.
