Reba McEntire is a proud mom, and she wanted the world to know that on Mother’s Day.

The county songstress posted two photos of her only son, Shelby Blackstock, on Instagram on May 10th. In one photo, he’s a newborn in his mother’s arms. She’s looking glamorous and ready to go on stage. In the second, he’s a grown man posing with Reba inside Studio 6B at 30 Rockefeller Plaza before Reba appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and the two share identical smiles.
“He made me a mother 36 years ago, and he’s been backstage with me ever since!” she captioned. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.”

Reba McEntire’s fans flooded the comment section with Mother’s Day wishes.
“Precious 💞 motherhood is so special, ❣️” someone wrote.

Shelby is Reba’s only biological child. She shares him with her ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock. During their 26-year marriage, she was also a stepmother to Narvel’s children, Shawna, Chassidy, and the late Brandon Blackstock. She has remained close with them, despite the divorce. She has also said that she remains close to her two stepchildren, Coty and Lance Battles, from her first marriage with Charlie Battles.
