Ready, Set, Roar! The T-Rex Race Is Back And More Dino-Mite Than Ever.

people in t-rex costumes running out of the gates at emerald downs for their 2022 t-rex race.

No, your eyes don’t deceive you – those really are dinosaurs racing down the track.

In 2019, Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington decided to shake things up with a competition unlike any this racetrack has ever held. Instead of horses, humans dressed in T-Rex costumes were vying for first place. Now, they’re back again for another roar-some race!

This time around, the competition was open to anyone, including kids. Over 150 participants showed up, making the event just as visually fascinating as you’d imagine. These identical dinos all stood in a line and, when it was time, took off as fast as they could down the 1/16-mile track. Hopefully not too many of them were a complete nervous rex!

In the end, Logan Kludsikofsky from Auburn became the Adult Race Winner. In the kids competition, 13-year-old Sebastian Davis of Silverdale, Washington took first place, followed closely by 14-year-old Hadley Lindsay of Eugene, Oregon.

Not everyone could be a winner, but if you ask us, each and every contestant was dino-mite!

Watch these T-Rexcelent folks run as fast as their dino legs would allow in the video below, and don’t forget to share.
