It’s a coach’s job to motivate and empower their team; to inspire victory. But coach John Harbaugh feels there’s another source of inspiration worth honoring when it comes to his team’s win.

John Harbaugh, coach of the Ravens, took to the podium after their divisional playoff win against Houston last week. He shared a powerful message, extending gratitude beyond himself for the victory.

John Harbaugh took the press conference stage and kicked off his talk with a message that was relayed to him before the start of the Ravens v Houston game.

“This was meaningful to me, so I’m going to share it with you,” he began. Then, he looked down and read aloud the verse that had inspired him.

“‘Greatness, power, glory, victory, and honor belong to you. Because everything in Heaven and on Earth belongs to you,'” John read. “‘The Kingdom belongs to you, Lord. You are the head and the ruler over everything.'”
