When Radamenes the cat was brought to an animal shelter in Bydgoszcz, Poland, rescuers were not hopeful for his survival. The little black cat was suffering terribly from a serious upper respiratory infection – he had a long and difficult battle ahead of him.

After a weeks long recovery, Radamenes overcame the odds stacked against him. The shelter considered putting the little one up for adoption, but then they saw something that made them realize Radamenes was far more valuable to the shelter than they ever could have imagined.
