A man presenting a puppy to a curious dog.

When this couple brought home a new puppy to meet their dog for the first time, they were hoping introductions would go smoothly. In this adorable video, Dad held the puppy within sniffing range of the older dog so she could safely meet him. After a brief inspection, Wilbur approved his little sister with a tail wag. She was officially part of the family! Soon, the two pooches were running around and playing like old friends. Mom shared footage of them chasing each other through the house, sharing toys, and even snuggling in the same bed!

This video also shows how Palmer the puppy went from being half Wilbur’s size when they met to just about matching the other dog’s height. However, it doesn’t look like this little sister has outgrown her relationship with her older brother at all. In fact, these two pooches seem to be inseparable! Mom shared the sweetest clips of the two dogs playing and cuddling together just like before.

Over four million people have watched this heartwarming video on Instagram. One interaction that seems to have stood out to viewers was when Wilbur purposefully shared one of his toys with Palmer on the first night they met. Their owners decided to post that moment separately so that people could enjoy it.

In the clip, someone tossed a frisbee to the two dogs. Wilbur got to it first, but he decided to pass it over to his little sister with his mouth so that she could play with it. Isn’t that adorable?

Wilbur and Palmer are such loving siblings, Mom calls them “soulmates.” We’d have to agree; it really seems like these two pooches were made for each other!
