A video of the adorable incident popped up on Storyful on March 20th. According to a caption, the boy was playing a round of tag with the puppies, and they were happy to join. They were just a bit too overwhelmed with fun and plowed the kid to the ground.
“Such madness with Newfoundland dogs often happens in my house,” wrote the original poster, dog breeder Malgorzata Grabka. “My friends’ children and grandchildren come and it begins… This time it’s my friend’s brave 5-year-old son who loves my dogs, but they are growing before his eyes.”
The video shows the little boy trying to run away from six Newfoundland puppies, but one of the pups accidentally trips him. When he topples to the ground, the rest of the flock pounces on him and smothers him in tail-wagging kisses.
The boy tries to stand up, but the Newfoundland puppies hold him down with love and snuggles.
“[Sometimes] he wants to escape from them, unfortunately, he ends up with his head in the ground,” she joked.
