There’s nothing quite like the joy of a proud parent. Whether their kid has surpassed a massive milestone or simply did their best, it’s all the same. A woman in Cameroon, a country in Central Africa, experienced this level of pride first-hand recently when she graduated. Her Mom was so excited, she couldn’t help but show it!
A woman on TikTok, Hilary Diva, captured this beautiful moment. It starts with Mom slowly making her way closer to the stage as it becomes her daughter’s turn to get her diploma, and the moment she does is clear – because that’s exactly when Mom breaks out into a dance! All the while she continues to get closer to the stage, specifically the stairs her daughter will be taking to leave.
Mom continues to dance as she waits for her daughter, taking off her headpiece to incorporate it into her moves. Just before her daughter reaches the floor, she places the headpiece on the floor, allowing her to step across it. As soon as it’s possible, the two of them embrace – but not for long. Now, it’s the graduate’s turn to do a little dance of celebration!
