Robert Irwin was just 2 years old when his father, Steve Irwin, passed away suddenly in 2006. While he likely has few memories with his dad, Robert certainly shares his personality with the late Crocodile Hunter. He also followed in his father’s career path. Robert Irwin loves animals and works as a conservationist and zookeeper. He’s also obtained a bit of celebrity like his dad. He’ll appear in the upcoming Dancing With The Stars season, but his passion will always be animals. He’s made such an impact that Prince William welcomed Robert Irwin as an ambassador for Earthshot Prize.

Prince William Warned Others To Watch Out For Robert Irwin
Per People, Robert Irwin appeared on Radio 2 in the United Kingdom on June 24, and Prince William shared a recorded message to his friend.
“Good morning, Scott, or should I say G’day, Scott?” the prince, 43, said to host Scott Mills.
“I know you’ve got the fantastic Robert Irwin on the show this morning, a brilliant ambassador for the Earthshot Prize,” William said.
“Sorry, I can’t be with you both this morning, hoping to catch up with you soon.” William invited Robert and the Earthshot Prize, taking place in Brazil in November. “It’s going to be a fantastic event, great show,” the prince shared.
Prince William also gave Scott a bit of a head’s up when it comes to Robert Irwin saying he “likes to pull random terrifying animals and creatures out of his pockets while he’s on anyone’s show and talking to them.”
“Watch your back at all times [so] that a tarantula or something doesn’t suddenly pop onto your desk,” William joked.
Of course, it was all in good fun. Robert Irwin expressed his excitement about participating in Earthshot Prize and working with Prince William.
“The Earthshot Prize is a beacon of hope for all of us who care about the environment and about our ability to ensure a liveable future for ourselves and future generations,” Robert noted on the organization’s website.
