“Wheel Of Fortune” Contestant Brings Wife To Tears With $40,000 Bonus Round Win

Wheel of Fortune Bonus Round

Wheel of Fortune is one of those shows that almost everyone has watched at some point in their lives. It’s been a dinnertime staple in American homes for more than 40 years. We have all welcomed Pat Sajak and Vanna White into our homes for decades, and now Ryan Seacrest has a place at our table. While we’ve seen plenty of bloopers and missed opportunities lately, we love to watch a Wheel of Fortune player solve the Bonus Round puzzle and win big. Sometimes, a contestant sets themselves up for a home run, and we can’t help but feel a bit misty when they win.

A Stay-At-Home Dad Made It To The “Wheel of Fortune” Bonus Round And Tackled The Puzzle With Ease

Gerard Amento, a father of two daughters, built up quite a haul on his recent Wheel appearance. He finished the game with $23,440 and a trip to Greece and Turkey, but that wasn’t all. When it was time for the Bonus Round, Wheel of Fortune Host Ryan Seacrest asked Gerard’s wife how she felt.

“So, if he wins big money, will you cry more?” Ryan asked.

“No. I’m just so happy for him,” Leah responded, wiping a tear from her eye.

“It’s going to be great no matter what happens,” the host replied.

For his Bonus Round category, Gerard chose “Phrase” and Wheel of Fortune gave him the standard “R,S,T,L,N, and E.” After a second, Gerard requested “C,B,M, and A” to help fill in the blanks. The puzzle then read, “T_E_  _A_E  A  BR_ _ _T  _ _T_RE.” Gerard looked up and confidently said, “They Have A Bright Future.”

Gerard’s correct response landed him an additional $40,000 prize during the Bonus Round and made his wife weep as he pulled her onto the Wheel of Fortune set.

Fans loved the sweet moment.

“Didn’t know it until the B came in. Then it was SO obvious. Kudos for picking good letters,” a fan admitted.

“To be honest, I laughed at how Gerard ran to his wife at the end. congrats to him,” someone shared on YouTube.
