Prince Harry Arrives in London for Visit

Prince Harry Meghan Markle

In late June 2026, Prince Harry announced he, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would visit the United Kingdom together for the first time in years. The decision came after years of concerns over security and safety. In a statement obtained by People, a family spokesperson explained, “The issue is whether appropriate and proportionate protective security is being provided throughout the entirety of the visit.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Decided not to Bring Their Children to London

People reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ultimately decided that Harry would travel to London alone, while she and the children would stay behind. It’s unclear if they will join him on other parts of his visit outside of London. Harry is in town to promote the 2027 Invictus Games, which will kick off next summer.

Prior to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Decision to leave the children behind, a source told Radar Online they hoped Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would meet their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“Harry wants to bring the kids to see his family – not just the Windsors, but the Spencers too,” an insider said. “He wants to spend time with the wider family. This has been on the cards for some time. Next year would have been the obvious time, when the Invictus Games take place in Birmingham, but for whatever reason, it is happening this summer.”

Sadly, it appears those dreams won’t come true, at least not this summer. Hopefully Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, will be able to mend their relationship before it’s too late and no one has to live with any regret.
