Pilot Jim to the rescue!
Valentina Dominguez, age 9, recently took a trip to Tokyo with her family. She brought her bestie, Beatrice, along.
Beatrice is an American Girl Doll with “brown hair and skin that looks like mine,” Valentina shared.
While Beatrice made it on the plane home, she didn’t get off when the family left.
“Beatrice was a big part of our lives for the past three or four years,” said Valentina’s father, Rudy. “I am feeling sad because she is very sad.”
This is where Pilot Jim comes in.
James Danen, First Officer for American Airlines, frequently flies to Tokyo. It took a few trips to the city, but Pilot Jim was finally able to rescue Beatrice from the lost & found.
Interestingly enough, Pilot Jim lives very close to the Dominguez family. Once Beatrice was back in the States, he headed right over to reconnect her with her best friend, Valentina.
Valentina couldn’t have been more thrilled.
“”I felt over the moon,” Valentina explained. “I knew Beatrice was gonna be mad at me but I was happy that I could see her again.”
“There’s a lot of kindness in this world. He’s a kind man. He said he would do it and followed through,” father Rudy remarked about Pilot Jim.
