Pentatonix Releases Haunting Performance Of “Say Something,” Their Melody Will Give You Chills.

When Pentatonix broke on the music scene in 2011, their incredible skill and A Capella style took the world by storm. Their work consists of covers of existing songs, medleys and their own original material. The two time Grammy-winning group is solely supported by a mix of tight harmonies and extremely technical beatboxing skills, and the final result is always a treat to hear.

Originally from Arlington, TX, these five friends have been blowing minds ever since their debut on the Sing Off in 2011. We’ve seen the take classic songs like “Midnight Train To Georgia”and “Thriller”and turn them into A Capella masterpieces, but the cover in the video below is really something special.

Putting a unique spin on Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World’s hit song “Say Something,”the five person group managed to stun the world yet again. Usually, Pentatonix doesn’t use any sort of instrumentation, but in a special stray from the norm, beatboxing member Kevin Olusola breaks out a cello and expertly tunes it to his friend’s vocal melodies.

You really don’t want to miss this amazing performance. Check it out below.
