Season 24 is heading into the Final 5 episode this Monday, and the two OGs will be on hand to mentor the hopeful singers. Paula will also sit on the panel with Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie as a guest judge.

Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson Will Celebrate ‘American Idol’s 20th High School Reunion’

The episode’s theme will be “20th high school reunion,” which is a throwback to American Idol’s class of 2006. Former contestants Taylor Hicks, Elliott Yamin, Kellie Pickler, Paris Bennett, and Bucky Covington will be on hand for duets with this year’s hopefuls.

Both Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson served as judges for American Idol’s freshman season, and they sat on the panel when Carrie Underwood won season 4. So it’s a special treat to serve alongside her as she judges the new batch of singers. Paula remained with the show through season 8 and made a cameo as a guest judge during season 19. Randy judged through season 12 and served as an in-house mentor for season 13—then he left the show.

The American Idol season 24 top 5 singers are Chris Tungseth, Hannah Harper, Braden Rumfelt, Keyla Richardson, and Jordan McCullough. Tune into ABC to see who makes the cut on Monday at 8 PM ET.
