For a Lyft driver named Vincent, 2024 was a devastatingly tragic year. In September, he sadly lost his beloved wife. So, by the time New Year’s Eve rolled around, he was still deeply grieving this huge loss. Even still, Vincent needed to work. The night turned out to be pretty terrible… that is until he serendipitously met two strangers who would change everything.

Those strangers were friends named Vanessa and Tricia. The two of them had spent the night ringing in the new year, but their plans changed when they got Vincent as their driver. Upon hearing about his tough night, they offered to take him out for a drink. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Kind Strangers Befriend Grieving Lyft Driver, Allowing Them to Ring in the New Year on the Perfect Note!

Turns out, Vanessa, Tricia, and Vincent make the best of friends. The three of them spent the night hanging out, singing karaoke, and getting to know one another. They formed a bond that is certain to last well into 2025 and beyond. In fact, Vanessa is thrilled to share that they are working on setting up a lunch or dinner with him soon!

“She sent you to check in on her hubby & to send him a sign! You didn’t disappoint. What a way to bring in the new year,” someone shares in the comment section of Vanessa’s video, with another person suggesting, “Please make it a tradition to spend NYE with him.”
