“You Are Perfect.” Pampers’ New Ad Encourages Moms Who Don’t Think They’re Enough.

Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world, but people still manage to do it well because they pour their hearts and souls into their children.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard they try, most mothers live with the constant fear that they aren’t good enough. In fact, according to a Pampers survey, nine out of 10 worry they’re falling short. That’s why the diaper brand decided to spread some love by affirming their worth with a beautiful ad.

The moving video is part of Pampers’ new “Share The Love” campaign. The movement is backed by actresses Shay Mitchell and Chrissy Teigen, who are both parents. Their goal is simple: show moms they’re doing a fantastic job!

In the ad, we see they’ve done that perfectly. It starts off with the powerful line, “Imagine if we saw ourselves the way our babies see us.”

Then we meet several women who are juggling work and caring for their babies – while silently judging themselves. Their little ones, on the other hand, see them differently.

As the babies look up at them in adoration, we hear a child’s voice saying, “You are beautiful. You are smart. You are strong. You are kind. You are perfect.”

Teigen said affirmations like these are important for new moms to hear:

When our babies are too little to tell us themselves, it’s so powerful to hear words of encouragement from your partner, a friend, or a fellow parent. Even a simple, ‘You’re doing great, Mama,’ from a passerby can make a world of difference when your baby is having a meltdown at the grocery store or on a flight.
