Okay, listen. I’m an absolute sucker for a pianist in a public space. I adore it, and I adore every video of it that gets posted on social media. But this opera singer and pianist collaboration in a department store is probably one of the best random musical outbursts I’ve ever seen!
The beautiful opera singer emerged from the audience and asked the pianist if he was familiar with Carmen.
Bold move!
The pianist began playing the theme from Carmen, and it was clear that he thought she just wanted to hear it. However, within a few measures, she joined right on.
Her voice is astounding! She’s absolutely a singer with some solid opera training.
Folks in the department store gathered around to hear the opera singer and pianist perform with one another. Kids and adults alike were taken aback by the caliber of the performance.
