Planning a wedding can be pretty stressful, so one couple decided to avoid the pressure of expectations by making the event a total surprise! Friends and family thought they were attending an engagement party, but found out it was a much bigger occasion when they arrived. The married couple posted some beautiful footage from their special day on TikTok. In the captions, they wrote that “the energy was so fun.”
However, the bride admitted in a later TikTok video that there were downsides to throwing a surprise wedding. For one thing, not all of their guests were huge fans of surprises. Another problem was that some of the friends and relatives who opted to skip the “engagement party” might have chosen differently if they’d known they would be missing the wedding. All in all, though, it seems like the couple was pretty happy with their decision!
