However, in the midst of the chaos and destruction, many brave souls proved their strength and courage by helping others. One hospital’s security video shows how their nurses raced to protect the children under their roof during the disaster. The powerful footage has gone viral on TikTok.
In the video from the Turkey hospital, nurses start rushing into rooms and carrying children to safety at the first sign of the earthquake. A particularly emotional moment shows one of the nurses risking her own life to watch over the babies in the neonatal intensive care unit who couldn’t be moved. Some commenters were deeply affected by the footage!
“The last nurses protecting the babies even if it means the ceiling will fall on them,” one user wrote.

Many heroes worked tirelessly to save as many lives as possible during the horrific earthquakes in Turkey. One firefighter managed to rescue a cat from a demolished apartment building, and they’ve been inseparable ever since!
