No Swan Song For This Bird Yet! Irish Cop Swoops In To Rescue Distressed Feathered Friend.

A police officer in Ireland rescued a lost swan.

A bustling city can be a pretty scary place for a swan! Luckily, when one of these feathered creatures was found alone and frightened in Limerick, Ireland, a police officer was there to help. With a little assistance from his colleagues and a few passers-by, Garda James Denieffe was able to transport the bird to Rockhall Vets. Garda Info, the official Twitter of Ireland’s National Police and Security Service, posted an announcement about the rescue. As can be expected, bird puns ensued!

“Luckily Garda Denieffe didn’t ruffle any feathers when he rescued this swan in Limerick city,” the post reads. “He was assisted by the flying squad in Mayorstone Station and members of the public. They winged it to a local vets where the swan should make a full recovery.”

Jokes aside, James is being praised for his willingness to help a feathered friend in need. According to the Limerick Leader, the swan is doing much better now.
