Woman With Cancer Takes The Stage And Blows Simon Cowell Away With Original Song.

Every so often, a contestant on a talent show renders us speechless with awe.

Jane Marczewski is a 30-year-old singer who goes by the stage name “Nightbirde.” She recently got a chance to audition for “America’s Got Talent,” and her performance was something we won’t soon forget.

Before she even started singing, it was clear that Nightbirde is a remarkable person. She admitted to judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara that she has had cancer several times over the past few years – and that she currently has “some cancer” in her lungs, spine, and liver. Despite being given only a 2 percent chance of survival, she’s determined to live her life to the fullest.

“It’s important that everyone knows that I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me,” she said. “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

She followed up these wise words with an original song she wrote, which is called “It’s OK.” After listening to her incredible voice and her sweet, personal lyrics, we admit we’re definitely not OK… but we will be!

Her flawless voice reminds us of singers like Ellie Goulding and Sia. It’s as delicate as a gossamer thread, yet there’s an underlying power behind it that speaks to the strength inside this extraordinary woman.

All of the judges were moved by the song, but Cowell seemed particularly drawn to Nightbirde’s voice and story.

When she finished her performance, the entire auditorium was silent for several moments. Everyone was stunned by how amazing she is, and the judges even honored her with a standing ovation. Before they cast their votes, Cowell told Nightbirde she wouldn’t be getting a “yes” from him. Instead, he gave her so much more when he hit the Golden Buzzer to propel her straight to the semifinals!

“Everything about that was really special,” Cowell exclaimed as he gave her a huge hug.

“I’m completely blown away, overwhelmed, speechless,” Nightbirde said after she recovered from the shock. “It’s going to take me a long time to even comprehend what happened. [It’s] so amazing.”

We’re with Cowell – that was out of this world! Not only is Nightbirde an incredible talent, but she also has such a positive outlook and is inspiring the world with her strength. We’ll be rooting for her in the semifinals and wishing for her full recovery.
