Nashville Loves Dolly Parton
To help honor Dolly Parton’s commitment to Nashville, many businesses will light up pink and donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the Imagination Library. Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell made September 25 an official holiday.
“Nashville, it’s official: September 25 is Dolly Day. Today is our chance to celebrate Dolly’s legacy by living it out: giving back, spreading kindness, and showing up for one another. Let today be the reminder, but let’s carry that spirit with us every day,” he shared on Instagram.
The grand finale of Dolly Parton Day in Nashville will include a fireworks display that will light up the sky beginning at exactly 9:25 p.m.
Fans love the idea and will honor Dolly Parton all around the world.

Others hope fans will live like Dolly and make a donation to charity in her honor on September 25.
