Mystery Heroes Brave Flames To Rescue Elderly Tennessee Couple In House Fire.

Aftermath of a house in Tennessee that caught fire.

It’s no small feat to see danger and rush toward it to help total strangers. And yet, yesterday morning, that’s exactly what four people did in Franklin, Tennessee. A two-story historic home was in flames, and there were was an elderly couple still inside.

Two of the helpers, Ilda Aguirre and Sondra Hale, were in separate vehicles when the flames caught their attention. Without hesitation, the two of them stopped to call 911 before rushing over the the home. According to the Franklin Fire Department, however, Ilda and Sondra weren’t the only ones who helped.

Before the firefighters could arrive, they were told that another man and woman were there to help. In fact, one of them reportedly rescued the couple themselves by bravely entering the home while it was still on fire.

“Thanks to their actions, and the actions of another man and woman who rendered aid, the residents made it out uninjured,” the Franklin Fire Department said.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is said to have extended up the exterior of the house toward the roof. Luckily, firefighters arrived in time to keep the home from being entirely destroyed.

As for those mystery heroes, they still haven’t been identified. The fire department is, however, trying to find them so they can recognize them for their bravery. Either way, they can’t be thanked enough!
