When parents feed their babies, they like to know what baby food tastes like. Sometimes, that backfires. When this Mom saw her daughter make a face and begin crying after a small bite, she was prompted to try it. What she discovered was unpleasant, but Mom’s reaction cheered the baby up and made her giggle.

As soon as the Mom took one small taste, she did a spit-take and squealed loudly. Then she looked at her daughter and said, “That is horrible!” There was gagging going on, and Mom understood why her daughter began crying. Mom recovered, and the two laughed over the taste test. In the caption, the Mom said the food was “literally rancid.”
Parents like the food pouches because they are incredibly convenient. Experts are split on the use of pouches. We’re not here to praise pouches or tell you whether or not to use them with your children. We’re just going to laugh at some other parents trying baby food. This Mom is not alone in her experience of taste-testing a child’s food.
Baby Food Taste Testing Goes Very, Very Wrong
Ricky & Lesly made a whole production out of tasting baby food. They used jars rather than pouches but had similar results. Ricky had some pretty violent gagging, while Lesly had more refined reactions.
Next up is another couple, Taylor and Sophia. Sophia plays the “Mom” while Taylor plays the “child,” tasting and rating each type of baby food. He is trying each food but doesn’t like anything except the banana pudding and the yogurt melts.
Mr. Vaughn Trainor has a more realistic outlook. He thinks the baby food smells horrible but believes the kids like it. Raising twin daughters with his partner, when one tosses cookies at night, they both do. And that is when it was decided that the twins would not eat carrots and peas again.
Whether you tried everything you fed your kid or not, baby food is still baby food. The reactions of these courageous parents should serve as fair warning to all of us. It’s disgusting, pureed slop that smells awful and tastes worse!
