Every day, countless dogs are in search of someone to rescue them. Not long ago, Miss Peaches was one of them. Although she had a home, there was a horrible hoarding situation. Thankfully, her new owner is treating her with the love and care she deserves — and her journey is being shared online. As a result, Miss Peaches has become quite the social media celebrity.

On her social media pages, you’ll find some of the most adorable photos of her and Dad, the founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy. But Miss Peaches’ platform is being used for so much more than sharing cute content. On his website, Dave is selling Miss Peaches merch where the proceeds go to dog rescue organizations!
This endeavor is already proving to be a massive success. People are loving the Miss Peaches merch, of course, but the impact of these sales is already being seen. So far, $25,000 has been donated to four rescues, including Mutty Paws. According to their Facebook bio, they’re dedicated to “saving doggies off of death row.”
Miss Peaches Raises Life-Saving Money for Several Animal Shelters
As you can imagine, this noble goal often comes with a hefty price. So much so that, sometimes, Mutty Paws is unable to take in animals that need them most. But with this $25,000, they’re able to open their doors like never before!
One dog who is benefitting greatly from this donation is named Bunny — they are severely malnourished and have severe gaping wounds. But now, they’ve been given a chance to survive.
“It really is making such a big impact — $25,000 goes a very long way,” Ashley Miller of Muttty Paws says. “It’s gonna help us save lives that we otherwise would have to say ‘no’ to because when we do pull in dogs, we always question the expense. We want to make sure that we’re able to provide for those dogs. And it kind of gives us that landing pad to be like, ‘Let’s go save some lives!'”
